I don't understand why the American public is making such a big deal over Sen. Harry Reid's comments about our President. He did in fact state what most people, black, white and/or other believe to be true. I personally don't believe it was a compliment, but again, that is my personal opinion.
Sen McCain made a comment on the Today show that he can't believe Americans still think like that. My response, wake up! We may be in the 21st Century, but not very much has changed in reference to personal racial preferences/opinions. It is what it is!

During the presidential campaign Reid said in a private conversation that Barack Obama could become president because he was "light-skinned" and spoke "no Negro dialect."
